School for girls

Development and Alumnae Manager

Salary: £43,100 plus London weighting

City of London School for Girls (CLSG) is a pioneering, academic, research-led school in the heart of the City of London. We achieve consistent academic excellence blended with a wealth of co-curricular experiences, a highly supportive pastoral care system and an international outlook, all of which educates our pupils to be leaders of tomorrow. Working with us means working within a unique tradition, location and atmosphere that encourages the very best in everyone, staff and pupils alike.

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic, well qualified and highly committed Development and Alumnae Manager to bring in significant new income in support of the school’s strategy and specially its bursary programme, which provides means-tested support to students who would otherwise be unable to afford to come to CLSG.

The successful candidate will be raising substantial new resources in support of the school’s goals in particular for the bursary and scholarship fund and the school’s partnership strategy by building strong relationships with the school’s passionate community of pupils, alumnae, parents, staff, governors and other friends. Raising funds for other capital projects will also be required as part of this exciting role.

The City of London School for Girls is an independent, non-denominational school, which is administered by the Corporation of the City of London.  It is a member of the Headmasters’ & Headmistresses’ Conference (HMC) and Girls’ School Association (GSA) and caters for pupils aged 7 to 18 years.

To apply for the post please complete the application form and equal opportunities form, together with a brief covering letter which explains why you feel particularly suited to the role and how it may fit in with your future aspirations.
