Good communication and partnership between home and school is an essential ingredient of a successful education. We value our relationships with parents, who may contact the school at any time to discuss the academic progress or social development of their daughter(s). Close communication between home and school is one of the foundations of a happy career at City.
There is an annual programme of parents breakfasts where parents are invited to come and meet the pastoral team in each year group and are introduced to key issues for each of the year groups. The school also organises a variety of parents’ information evenings on a range of topics, form safety to pedagogical developments and pastoral issues. The portal pages also give parents access to a range of resources and sources of information to help them support their daughters further throughout their time at school.
Parents are also encouraged to support with their presence school plays, concerts, school events and sports fixtures and they play a key role in supporting the Careers Department.
Parents receive a formal update on their daughter’s progress once a term in the form of either a report or a parents evening, However, parents are encouraged to get in touch with the school via their daughters tutors at any point should they have any concerns.
