Excellent pastoral care and support are fundamental to ensuring our pupils achieve their best in all areas of school life. CLSG is a warm, good-humoured and close-knit community, with a diverse social and cultural mix of pupils. It is in this environment that our pupils learn to be respectful of themselves and others, to take responsibility for their actions and words, and to be resourceful when in come to finding solutions to the challenges that they will inevitably encounter.
Every pupil has a form tutor and a head of year who looks after them, keeps an eye on their progress and helps them to maximise their potential and enjoy their time at school. The school is divided into sections; the preparatory department (years 3 - 6), the lower school (year 7 and 8), the senior school (years 9, 10 and 11) and the sixth form (years 12 and 13), with each section working as a team to provide top-quality pastoral care.
In addition, pupils are able to access support from our school counsellors, the learning support team, the careers department and the school nurse.
