In July 2016 City of London School for Girls held its second Summer School for able, gifted and talented students from state schools in our neighbouring boroughs.
The theme of the weel was “Learning is Fun” and activities included building and programming a robot, producing t-shirt designs and a design technology inspired team challenge. Students also participated in lessons including maths, biology, history, English and chemistry and had the opportunity to use our on-site swimming pool, climbing wall and games facilities.
The week was very well received by the students, their parents and their schools. This is typical of the feedback we received:
"I can tell you that they came back to school absolutely buzzing about their week! They had lots of stories to tell and were very excited by the range of activities they had and how challenged they were!"
