Several girls join us at City each year from overseas. International pupils bring an exciting dimension to school life here, and reflect the wide range of nationalities, backgrounds and languages represented at City in all year groups.
Please see the relevant age group entry section on the main Admissions menu for details of the admissions process. For overseas applicants, the following additional details will then also apply -
SITTING YOUR ENTRY ASSESSMENT OVERSEAS
For Year 3 entry, we unfortunately cannot arrange this overseas as the practical element of how girls interact with other pupils and staff is important. You will therefore need to be at City for the relevant assessment days in November.
For Year 7 and 12 entry, we can arrange for you to sit your entry exam overseas. You simply need to let us know at the beginning of the admissions process, provide us with a contact name and email address at your current school of who will invigilate your exam, and we will then email the papers and details to your school who will send the completed papers back to us for marking afterwards.
Should you be successful, we can then arrange for your interview to be held via Skype if this is easier and more convenient than coming to City for an interview. Again, you just need to let us know and we will arrange for this to take place.
Successful applicants who wish to study at City will likely need a visa if they do not hold a British or European passport. You can check here if you will need one https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa
In most cases, pupils will require a Tier 4 student visa (either Child or General) to study in the UK. They will not be permitted to study on a tourist visa. You can apply for a visa through City as we have HTS (Highly Trusted Sponsor) status and can sponsor your visa. The visa you receive is linked to your course at City. Generally speaking, if a pupil is under 18, they require a child visa. If over 18, they will require a general visa. However, if a pupil is 16 or 17, they can be classed as either child or general. We will advise you of this during the admissions process.
Sometimes we have places available in years other than at our standard intake points. If you are interested in your daughter joining our school at Years 4, 5, 8 or 9 please complete this form and we will be in contact should a vacancy arise.
Please note that we currently have no spaces available for any age groups in September 2019.
