City of London

School for girls

11+ entry in September 2017

CLSG membership of the North London Independent Girls’ Schools’ Consortium

For girls applying for 11+ entry for September 2017, City will no longer be a member of the North London Independent Girls’ Schools’ Consortium.

Over the last few years, fewer and fewer of our applicants have applied to other Consortium schools. As well as this geographical shift in our catchment area, we have also been concerned about ever growing numbers and issues of capacity as well as consistency in admissions procedures.

This change will affect applicants who are also intending to apply to one or more of the following schools – Channing, More House, Northwood College, Queen’s Gate, St James’ Girls’ School or Godolphin and Latymer.  If you are applying to any of these schools, the exam at City in January 2017 will no longer be linked and will no longer count for these other schools.

We will keep the admissions section of the website updated with further details and dates. We will also put up sample papers for both Maths and English – the format will remain similar to that of previous Consortium papers, which can be found on the 11+ admissions website page.
