Highest Marks for A level English Literature

It was announced on Monday 24th November 2014 that former City Girl, Marianne Schonle, was the highest scoring candidate in England and Wales in the 2014 WJEC examinations in A Level English Literature.

It was announced on Monday 24th November 2014 that former City Girl, Marianne Schonle, was the highest scoring candidate in England and Wales in the 2014 WJEC examinations in A Level English Literature. Marianne achieved full marks - a score of 400/400 across both her AS and A2 papers - and was judged to be the best student from the 12,528 students who took the qualification in 2013/14.


Marianne and her family have been invited to this year’s Awards ceremony on the 18 December at WJEC, Cardiff. Marianne is currently studying Music at Girton College, Cambridge University.
