First squares of u-knity blanket are joined together

Last month, Headmistress Mrs Brown launched a  whole-school U-knity Blanket Challenge. The project is open to all members of the school community, and the aim is to knit a square (roughly 15cm x 15cm) in any colour.

All of the squares will be joined together to make a blanket when we return to school in real-time. This will eventually be made into smaller blankets, to be donated to a charity chosen by members of the U-knity Knitting Group. A small section will be kept at school for posterity.

Pupils and teachers have been busy knitting, and photographs of the first few squares have been digitally knitted together in the image above. We can't wait to see the finished piece!
