Annual VEX IQ Robotics Competition

The Annual Robotics Competition took place at in the school hall on Wednesday 15 February. This year, 14 teams of roboteers competed for places at the National Finals to be held in Telford in March. Over 80 students, from both the Prep Department and Years 7-9, had spent two terms building their robot to participate in a predefined challenge.

This year, the robots had to move and stack cubes, as well as stack balls within the cubes. The competition consisted of eight rounds of qualifying, before the final round where the teams competed in alliances to score the highest total.

Purple Hedgehog Pigs and Trial and Error proceed to the National Finals as Teamwork Champions. Trial and Error also won the Design Award. Innovate won the Robot Driving Skills and the Judges Award.
