On Monday, ten girls from our Law Society who are involved in the forthcoming Young Citizens' mock trial competition visited Garden Court Chambers in Lincoln’s Inn in order to gain some expertise on how to compose a successful case for a criminal trial.
Whilst there, we met with Amanda Weston QC, a leading barrister in public and administrative law. She gave us some valuable advice and tactics - not least about framing questioning around the burden of proof - which was incredibly helpful in our preparation. Thank you to Mr FitzGerald for organising such a useful visit. Fingers crossed for the competition on Saturday!
