On Wednesday 21st May, Louisa Stuart-Smith and Saumiyaah Nimalakumaran from Year 9 went to Dartmouth House in Mayfair to compete in the finals of the English Speaking Union's Performing Shakespeare competition. The girls had reached the finals through a rigorous selection process performing their comic scene from The Merry Wives of Windsor.

The day included two workshops with professional actors and performances in the afternoon. The competition was stiff, but Louisa and Saumiyaah performed with great style and received many positive comments on their performance. Although they did not win the competition, they are to be commended for reaching the finals and performing so confidently on the day.
