This half term, Year 7 went to the Dickens Museum. We learnt about the novels Charles Dickens had written and we got a chance to write our own description of Scrooge using quills and ink.
We had a tour around the house in which he lived from 1837-1839. Most of the rooms were as they looked in the 17th century. It was fascinating to see portraits of him which were painted during his life, as well as the desk on which he wrote some of his most famous novels, including Oliver Twist and Nicholas Nickleby.
