City of London School for Girls welcomed the Lord Mayor, Alderman Fiona Woolf to visit the school on Friday 21st March 2014. The visit was particularly significant as for only the second time in history; the Lord Mayor is a woman. A theme of her year in office is the promotion of STEM subjects, particularly to girls and young women and the emphasis of her visit was on maths and science.

The Lord Mayor was introduced to many staff and pupils ranging from Prep through to Sixth Formers and attended lessons including PE, Spanish, Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Physics. We would like to express our gratitude to Alderman Woolf for taking the time to come to the school and we look forward to an exciting and productive year ahead.
