It has been an extremely successful year for those taking part in the Young Enterprise Company Programme. Both City companies have been working hard this academic year, coming up with original ways of forming an enterprise and making money. Spitalfields Market provided the opportunity to launch and sell products to the public and was also used as a valuable fund raiser.
At competition level, both companies representing CLSG have received awards for their achievements. At the Borough Final in April, held at the UBS headquarters in Broadgate, Team SWITCHED©, who have designed and manufactured a jewellery storage attachment for mobile phones, won the award for ‘BEST PRESENTATION’. Team NecessiTEA©, who sell teas from around the world, won the award for ‘BEST OVERALL COMPANY’ in the City of London. NecessiTEA© therefore proceed to the East London Final, held in the HSBC building in Canary Wharf, aiming for a place at the prestigious London Final in June.
I am extremely proud and impressed with the work that both companies have put in this year. Best of luck to NecessiTEA© at the East London Final and good luck to SWITCHED© in their final few weeks of sales.
