Our Year 13 leavers celebrated an excellent set of exam results this morning.
The cohort achieved a 100 per cent pass rate across all subjects with 43 per cent of entries graded A*. 79 per cent of entries were graded A* or A. 60 per cent of students achieved three or more A* or A grades and 99 per cent of all entries were graded A* to C.
As well as achieving excellent academic results, the cohort have taken part in a wide range of extra-curricular activities. These include achieving their silver or gold Duke of Edinburgh awards, as well as music and drama performances and extensive fundraising. Additionally, a number of girls have achieved outstanding sporting achievements alongside their studies.
Headmistress, Mrs Ena Harrop said: “We are extremely proud of what every single one of the girls has achieved: they have worked tremendously hard and showed that the new A level qualifications play very much to their strengths. They show once more how much genuine passion and determination for learning City girls bring to their studies. More importantly, in their time with us, they have grown into self-aware, well rounded and socially conscious young women with a real desire and drive to be a force for good. It has been a privilege for us to both teach them and learn from them. We wish them the very best for the future.
I would also like to thank the academic and pastoral staff for inspiring and supporting the girls throughout the Sixth Form: their efforts are a vital element in ensuring that our pupils, year on year, achieve excellent results.”
