Year 10 Global Perspectives with Layton Williams

On Thursday 11th of October, Year 10 were lucky enough to be visited by the greatly renowned actor, dancer and singer, Layton Williams.

As we are a year of many avid Bad Education fans, we had lots of questions for Layton about his career and life experiences. He gave many inspiring and motivational tips, but the highlight of the talk was definitely when Mr Codd was taught the word ‘slay’.

After the talk, 20 of us were able to take part in a dance workshop led by Layton. Firstly, we did an extremely tiring warm up followed by stretches. While we were all struggling to touch our toes, Layton sat in perfect splits on the stage. Next, he taught us choreography to “You Can’t Stop The Beat” from the musical Hairspray which Layton himself has appeared in. The choreography was very fast but it was a very enjoyable experience. Thank you, Layton!
