Appointment of New Headmistress

The Board of Governors is delighted to announce that Mrs Jenny Brown has been appointed as the new Headmistress of CLSG from September 2019.

Jenny has extensive leadership experience gained through her current headship and previous appointments at other schools, including as Director of Senior School at St Paul’s Girls’ School. She was educated at North London Collegiate School and Oxford University, where she read English.

Of her appointment, Jenny said: “I am really looking forward to joining CLSG in September. As a north London pupil, parent and teacher I have long admired CLSG from afar and am delighted that I will soon be getting to know it much better. It is a privilege to follow Ena’s successful tenure and I look forward to working with the City of London Corporation and its family of schools to build on its impressive educational and charitable aims”.

The Board of Governors are very excited that Jenny will be joining us and are confident that she is well placed take CLSG forward into the future, building on all that has been achieved to date.

Jenny will succeed Mrs Ena Harrop, who has been appointed as the Head of Crofton House School in Vancouver, Canada. The Board is very appreciative of Ena’s commitment and dedication to CLSG over the last nine years, initially as Director of Studies, and as Headmistress for the last five years. She leaves us very much on a high and can be very proud of all that the students at CLSG have achieved under her leadership. Ena will be liaising closely with Jenny over the coming months to ensure a seamless transition.
