Senior House Debating Competition

This House would have a quota system for Black and Ethnic minorities studying at Oxbridge.

On Wednesday 15 November, the four Houses debated the topical and controversial motion of implementing a quota system at our top academic institutions in order to create greater equality and diversity.

This serious and sensitive issue was debated skilfully by new and more experienced debaters, and judged by our new debating coach, Mr Chris Marshall.

The debate was won by Ysabel and Rachel of Ward House (the closing opposition) who narrowly beat Harriet and Eugena from Fleet House (the closing government). Well done to all four teams who did their Houses proud!
