Junior drama production

Year 8 and 9 students donned jeans and white tops last week to become part of the ensemble for ‘Mobile Phone Show’.

Written by Jim Cartwright, who penned the multi-award winning 'Road', the junior drama production examined the role of mobile phones in society.
Rehearsals started in October, and as the cast adapted to their new roles the technical team were busy working behind the scenes, making banners and posters and scouring the costume cupboards for the perfect outfits.
Drama teacher Mrs Thane-Woodhams said: "I can’t thank the cast, crew, parents, students and staff enough for all their help and support in making ‘Mobile Phone Show’ a success. The students' hard work certainly paid off and they produced a piece that we could all be proud of."
The Drama Department have a busy schedule of performances ahead, including a Sixth Form performance of Shakespeare's ‘The Winter’s Tale’ (28th to the 30th March) and MOATFEST (a week-long festival of performance in June).
