On the 27th of January, Head of Sixth Form Ms Lockyear accompanied six girls to a Q&A session with actor Eddie Redmayne at the Guildhall.
Eddie was being presented with the Freedom of the City of London by the City of London Corporation, and the girls were invited to ask the Oscar winner a few questions beforehand.
Year 12 student Arushi's question was selected as one of the top two of the day, and she was awarded with an autograph from the star, as well as the chance to pose for a quick photograph.
Arushi's question was: "You have taken on some really meaningful roles, for example the role of Lili in the Danish Girl, which had a significant impact on the LGBTQ+ community. Which role that you've taken on, do you feel has had the greatest influence on your outlook on life?"
After a moment of thought, Eddie replied: "The Danish Girl"
Speaking about the experience, Arushi said: "It was inspirational to listen to Eddie’s experiences and an honour to receive first hand advice from such a successful actor. Hearing about his development as an actor, from his time primary school, through to studying art history at Cambridge, and his career today made everyone in the room appreciate what genuine, kind and talented person he is."
