Congratulations to year 12 Celine, who participated in the Wings of Hope Achievement Award. This is a programme which encourages students from years 9-13 to work in small teams to fundraise for the Wings of Hope Charity, which helps children in India and Malawi access free education.
Celine said, ‘my brother, my two cousins and I decided to participate since we knew the struggles our own parents faced in finding education and felt that nobody should ever have limitations to education’. Despite the obstacle of COVID-19, her team’s creative efforts raised £7236.36, enough to win the overall winners award. Any other pupils inspired by Celine's example can apply for this programme too, or donate to the charity themselves, by visiting the Wings of Hope website.
