Teachers on the run: support the Hometown Half

Last year Miss Squire was meant to run the Hackney Half Marathon with some friends. When it was cancelled, they decided to create their own socially distanced half marathon for anyone who had been training and wanted to continue their training plans. They called it the 'Hometown Half', created homemade race packs which were posted to participants complete with badges, stickers, race numbers, certificates and finish line tape! They had 34 participants over Europe and we raised £5k.

This year the Hometown Half is happening again and this time there are more staff involved! Miss Squire managed to convince Mrs Helm and Mr Aldridge to join the 90+ participants. We are all raising funds for Mind charity in light of the mental health issues that have been exacerbated by lockdown 3. Any support would be greatly received whether it be a good luck message or a donation to Mind.
