CLSG has joined the Eco-Schools Programme, a global initiative encouraging pupil-led climate action. Over the coming year, we will work towards their Green Flag Award, carrying out an environmental review of the school and putting in place an action plan on a range of areas including waste, transport, biodiversity and energy.
Led by the sustainability committee, we have elected a new eco-committee with a representative from each year group - congratulations to Gwenhwyfar, Safiyya, Maija, Aryana, Nancy, and Ningfei - we're excited for your contributions and ideas.
The sixth form sustainability committee, led by Lucza, met with their eco-counterparts at CLS this week, to discuss what's been going on at both schools, and exchange ideas for collaborative projects. The committee has also been busy creating a padlet with links and information about several amazing Farmers' Markets across London. These outdoor markets are a great way to buy fewer plastic packaged items and support independent farmers and their businesses by buying directly from them!
