In this period of 'online' living, keeping moving is more important than ever. So while the year 10 PE GCSE cohort have been learning about the Cardiac cycle in their theory lessons this week, pupils across the school have been getting their heart rate up!
Prep students haven't stopped focusing on their fitness, with Ms Stephens leading a particularly successful HIIT workout with year 5. Senior school students, meanwhile, have been set PE assignments for each week of their PE lessons, to complete alone or together on video chat! These include dance, HIIT circuits, an extended family walk, run, or cycle, as well as the weekly PE challenge.
The inaugural challenge this week saw girls competing to walk the greatest number of steps in a single day. Congratulations to Kimmy, year 7, who achieved over 13,000 steps!
Next week’s challenge is: How long can you hold a stacked plank? Adults and children join in the fun!
The PE department has also launched City PE Online, which showcases a range of different activities, challenges, and healthy tips for all Senior school students to access from home.
