The Young Enterprise team Pinimals have been working hard over the past few days to enter the regional competition with their product: enamel pins of endangered animals and plants, designed to spread awareness of those species. As you might have gathered by their name and the wildlife wordplay on their website, Pinimals are also big fans of puns, which is pretty paw-some.
“Within the past week,” team member Eleanor explained, “we have written 6 reports, a 100 word bio and made a video talking about our experiences, alongside preparing for an interview.” These efforts paid off – at the award ceremony last Wednesday, Pinimals won the Team Journey award, amid fierce competition, which Eleanor points out “shows how much we have learnt and progressed over the past year.”
Their pins, which come with fact files and quizzes on the creatures featured and how to further protect them, are up for sale on their website now. You can also keep up to date with their progress via Instagram or Twitter (@PinimalsUK), and feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org with any other questions.
