School for girls

LGBT+ History Month

Throughout February, City has been celebrating LGBT+ History Month, a UK initiative that aims to promote equality by increasing the visibility of LGBT+ experiences.

While the pride flag flies at the school building, students have enjoyed a whole school form time as well as weekly newsletters that celebrate a selected LGBT+ icon, from the writer Maya Angelou to footballer Lily Parr.

Pride Society also meets every Friday for general chat, led by two of our sixth formers, and we're hoping to join up with CLS for our meeting on 26 February. Pride Soc is also holding a competition to design a new logo, due to close for entries after half term - watch this space!
