What do food, women, and kindness have in common? They all helped Pinky Lilani get to where she is today: a successful entrepreneur, author, consultant, charity patron, and the last of our Spring Term City@6 speakers.
The founder and chair of empowering platforms like the Women of the Future Awards gave a fascinating insight into her life, sharing lessons along the way about how food can help communicate and bridge divides. Although she wasn’t able to bring her signature wok to this virtual event, she made sure to do the next best thing, promptly inviting the entire virtual audience round for a plate of spicy Bombay potatoes whenever it is safe!
She also shared her ‘recipe for success’ including advice to “be courageous, be curious, be kind, and always keep learning”.
City@6 will be returning next term with more fantastic speakers, starting with barrister, human rights activist, and politician Shami Chakrabarti on 26 April. See this flyer for more details on the summer schedule.
