City of London

School for girls

The school’s Mission Committee is a team of Sixth Form students, assisted by a member of staff. They are responsible for a dynamic programme of charity fundraising events, which at the end of the year goes towards a chosen charity. The Committee helps the remaining student community to select the main charity for the year by developing a shortlist of charities, presenting them to the school and the school voting for their preferred charity.

This year, we continue to support our international charity Street Child. We have been supporting Street Child for over six years now and have raised a total of £167, 694.51 so far!

Street Child is an organisation that aims to get children off the street and into education, as well as supporting families to start their own businesses. It’s an amazing cause and we should try and raise as much money as we can! If you’re interested or want to find out more, you can read all about the work they’re doing on their website

Events coming up this year:

  • Staff Tug of War
  • Staff Panto
  • Christmas Jumper Mufti Day and Christmas Fair
  • RAG Week
  • City’s Got Talent
  • University Challenge
  • Sponsored Walk
  • Summer Fete

If you are a current student, you might want to start thinking about joining Mission - either in the Sixth Form on the Committee, or as your form Mission Reps. It's a great way to get involved in charity and is really rewarding!
