School for girls



City of London Primary Academy Islington (COLPAI) is a brand new primary academy, opening in September 2017, which will be built on the old Richard Cloudesley School site, to the north of the Golden Lane Estate. It is envisage the school will be in temporary accommodation from September 2017 until July 2019 while the permanent school is being built. It will be a non-selective, fully inclusive school. Pupils will be drawn from and reflect the local community, and with the exception of looked after children and siblings, admission will be by distance.



Admission Arrangements for 2017-2018 Academic Year. Primary Academy Islington is located on Golden Lane. In partnership with Islington Council and part of the City of London family of schools, Primary Academy Islington is an inclusive, non-denominational school that welcomes all children and families from the local area, including those with special needs.


A New School

The vision for COLPAI reflects a passionate commitment to offer a world class education based upon the highest expectations of ourselves and our pupils. This new school will join the family of already highly successful City of London schools and will be directly linked and supported by City of London School for Girls, an ISI Outstanding rated independent school.
