Netball is one of the most popular sports at City. Students practice during lunch times in the gymnasium and on the outside sporting pitch (weather permitting). The girls have enjoyed playing against other schools, with considerable success.

2008 Success

On Saturday 15^th November   the U14’s played in the first round of the Middlesex county Tournament held at Highlands school Enfield.   The girl’s played extremely well convincingly winning their first 3 games, 16-4 against Highlands, 9-0 against Kingsbury and 11-2 against Channing. The opponents for their 4^th game did not have enough players so City won by default but still played a friendly match against them scoring 8-0 to win even with 3 ‘reserve’ City players playing for Mossbourne. The team’s last game was difficult against Heathfield who upset the flow of city’s game considerably with city losing 5-4. City game joint first on points in the tournament and came top overall due to goals scored, with city’s total being 40 and the second team scoring 18. We wish the U14 team luck in the Finals in March and also in the National Schools Tournament on Saturday the 29^th November.

On 4th March 2008 the U12 & U13 Netball teams took part in the Middlesex Netball Tournaments at The Lady Eleanor Holles School. The U13 team won all their matches and progressed to the sem-finals against Notting Hill & Ealing, which they won 6-4. The girls then played a 3 way final against St Helens and Lady Eleanor Holles. They won both these matches 6-5 and 5-4 respectively, and won the overall title . This is a first for City and a fantastic achievement.

The U12 team played 5 matches in their pool winning 4 and loosing. They played their semi-final match against North London Collegiate and won 3-1. In the 3 way final, the girls lost to Notting Hill & Ealing but won against Lady Eleanor Holles, a result which secured them the silver medal !

On Tuesday 5th February, the U13 netball team participated in the Inner London Schools Netball Tournament. The team won all of their matches convincingly to take away the winner's trophy .

On the 29th January the U14A team competed in the Inner London School Tournament at Battersea. The girls played amazingly well to win every game, earning them the title of 2008 U14 Inner London Champions.

2007 Success

The Under 12 and Under 15 teams won their respective competitions at the Inner London Schools Netball Tournament. Both of these teams played well at the Middlesex County Tournament, where the Under 15 team were runners up and the Under 12 team went through to the quarter finals. The Under 10 netballers, in their first tournament, came third - a great start for them.
