City of London School for Girls

Netball is one of the most popular sports at City. Students practice during lunch times in the gymnasium and on the outside sporting pitch (weather permitting). The girls have enjoyed playing against other schools, with considerable success.
2008-9 Success
City girls have been extremely busy this season, with 113 netball matches played , of which we won 81, drew 4 and lost 28.
The Preps have played friendly matches all term and competed in a tournament at Pembroke Hall. In March we hosted an U10 Junior Schools Tournament, which was a great success with the A team coming 3rd.
The Senior School teams have also played many friendly matches. The U13 team won the Inner London Schools Netball Tournament. The U12, U13, U14 and U15 teams all competed in the Middlesex County Tournament. The U14 team did particularly well, winning the first round of the tournament and reaching the Middlesex County Finals, where they narrowly missed out on bronze medals, coming 4th.
Within school, the Interhouse Netball Competition took place, where the overall cup went to St Bride.
