Scrooge: The Musical, was a huge success. The spectacular musical extravaganza was a heartwarming family story based on Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol and inspired Christmas cheer into the entire school community!
A City student has been selected as the UK representative for the prestigious Ruta Quetzal Spanish scholarship. King Juan Carlos of Spain established the scheme to unite Spanish-speaking students from around the world. Jessica will join 360 students from over 50 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and America on a 6 week trip through Panama and regions of Spain.
Two City students have been selected for the Deloitte Scholarship Programme. This is Juliana's story...
"When I first heard of a GAP year in Year 10, I was instantly drawn to the idea. However, my parents had never wanted me to take a year off, and it seemed it might remain an unfulfilled wish. About a year ago, Deloitte came to speak at City about their gap year program. It was the perfect solution as scheme gives you 30 weeks paid work, travelling grants and £1,500 per year at university.
City has opened the doors to a new Sixth Form Centre.
The centre was officially opened by Mr Richard Regan, Chairman of the Board of Governors on 16th January, 2008.
The Christmas season is always an exciting period. Girls celebrated the festive season by carolling, raising money and sharing their time with senior members of the community.
