Sport is an integral part of life at all levels of the school. We pride ourselves on the fact that there should be something for everyone, from team players aiming for excellence to clubs which play the odd fixture to recreational activities such as climbing. We believe in a philosophy of Sport for All and enjoyment plays a large part in this too. Within the curriculum we try to give girls a progressive programme which unfolds each year to give new challenges and different sports to try.

Art

Art
Personal expression and maximising creativity is the focus of City’s Art Department. Students are encouraged to explore new ideas and new materials and to utilise neighbouring galleries and museums for inspiration. Students incorporate traditional methods with avant-garde techniques to express themselves through various mediums including drawing, painting, sculpting, textile work, mixed media and photography. We are proud to display our students work around the school, making a colourful and inspirational backdrop to everyday life at City. The girls’ artwork is of such a standard that is has also been on display at the Barbican Arts Centre.
