Academic scholarships
11+ Academic Scholarships:

Academic Scholarships are awarded on the basis of a candidate’s performance in the entrance examination and interview.

A number of City Corporation Scholarships and awards are available for the entire school course. The purpose of these awards, which are not means-tested, is to recognise outstanding ability rather than to offset significantly the cost of the school fees.   Typically, the value of the last academic year, was not more than £1,500 per annum. Candidate’s parents may also apply, as appropriate for means tested Bursaries.  

16+ Academic Scholarships:

Sixth Form Academic Scholarships are awarded on the basis of a candidate’s performance in the entrance examinations and interview. All candidates will automatically be considered for academic scholarship awards.

A number of City Corporation Scholarships and awards are available for the two year sixth form course. The purpose of these awards, which are not means-tested, is to recognise outstanding ability rather than to offset significantly the cost of the school fees.   Typically, the value of the last academic year, was not more than £1,500 per annum. Candidate’s parents may also apply, as appropriate for means tested Bursaries.   See page 12 for details on Bursaries.

Corporation Leaver’s Scholarship:

The Corporation Leaver’s Scholarship awards a student £200 per annum for 3 years awarded after GCE results to a girl leaving the Sixth Form.
