On Wednesday 18th March Baroness Harris of Richmond visited the Preparatory Department of the City of London School for Girls. Liberal Democrat Spokesperson for Northern Ireland and the Home Office, Baroness Harris is also currently a Deputy Speaker and Deputry Chairman of Committees. Baroness Harris visited CLSG to enrich the Year 6's work in their Democracy and Parliament module of the Citizenship programme.
The
Prep Department visited Kingswood from 13 to 15 June. The trip was full of exciting activities, such as archery and abseiling. The girls also participated in team and trust building activities, such as ‘Nightline’ where they went through a muddy obstacle course, blindfolded.
At precisely 9.15am on 7th March, girls in the Prep Department joined with children from around the nation to set a new Guinness World Record for the largest number of people reading aloud, simultaneously in multiple venues.
The mammoth undertaking, nick-named 'Peter Pan's Big Thyme Rhyme', was in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital, who are raising money for a new renal unit.
