At precisely 9.15am on 7th March, girls in the Prep Department joined with children from around the nation to set a new Guinness World Record for the largest number of people reading aloud, simultaneously in multiple venues.
The mammoth undertaking, nick-named 'Peter Pan's Big Thyme Rhyme', was in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital, who are raising money for a new renal unit. The girls, dressed as Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, assorted pirates and even a crocodile, all read the verse 'To the Top', an excerpt of Geraldine McCaughrean’s novel, ‘Peter Pan in Scarlett’.
