I have many happy memories of the Prep Department as I enjoyed every minute of my time there. Terms were always action packed and full of fun. I went on lots of exciting school visits, performed in many plays and concerts that we had and all this on top of very varied and interesting lessons with great teachers.

When I first came to the Preps, I was made to feel very welcome in the school and, after a short time there, it felt as though I had been there all my life. My first form teacher was Mrs Jones, and I had a very enjoyable year with her. I did lots of interesting things in Lower 1, but the thing that I remember most vividly was sending meringues in the post for a science experiment.
In Upper 1, I went on my first residential school trip. It was a ski trip for a week in France, and it was the start of many fantastic trips to come. I had Miss Bentley as my teacher, and I had a fun year with her. One extra thing that we did was to take the English Speaking Board exam (ESB) and I think that this was very useful, as it helped my public speaking.

When I reached Lower 2, Mr Brough joined the school as the new Head of the Prep Department. During Lower 2 we had visits each week from the City of London Police, to learn all about DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education). It was very interesting and, when we finished the course, we were able to process in the Lord Mayor's Show.
In Upper 2 I started learning Latin and Mandarin, two languages I had never tried before. I went on another ski trip, and had yet another brilliant form teacher: Mrs Tolhurst. During Upper 2 we were lucky enough to go on a visit to the Guardian Newsroom where we all had a go at making a front page for own newspaper.
Overall, I have had such a great time in the prep school, I learnt lots of things and I would recommend it to anyone.
