Year 12 Spanish students enjoyed the sunny delights of Andalucia in April when they visited the beautiful Jerez de la Frontera. Renowned for its sherry, flamenco music, bullfighting and dancing horses, Jerez is a capital of culture.
Girls stayed with families who entertained them with typically warm Andaluz hospitality. Several hours of lessons every day were followed by guided tours of Seville, Cordoba and Ronda, as well as the obligatory tour of a sherry bodega and the equestrian centre.
Girls ventured out in the evenings only to refine their Spanish fluency. A number of the girls are taking a well earned rest in Jerez after their AS exams.
