Paradigm is formed of a group of Sixth Formers who meet with ICT staff to discuss current ICT projects and explore different ways to use new technology within the school.
The 2007/8 Paradigm group has put in a lot of effort into developing some great ideas that will leave their mark on ICT at City forever.

CityTV
Description:
Paradigm 2006/7 launched the idea of CityTV, the school’s own TV station. They were involved with filming, interviewing and producing programs based on school events such as House Music and Quiz and the school mission talent show. They have also made films on topics for assembly for example, Cyber Bullying.

Director’s Cut
Description:
The Paradigm group have produced such high quality films that they have inspired other students and there is now a real need for a film making club that will explore all areas of making a film including pre and post production work.

Description:
ICT has become a very important aspect of daily life and an essential form of communication. The Paradigm group organised three computer courses specifically for older members of the Barbican community to give them basic computer skills and integrate ICT into their lives.

This course was successful run in May and October 2007 and will continue in 2008
Blog2Borrow
Description:
In the Blog2Borrow projects students took home a laptop and used it to help with their studies. They were required to keep a daily blog of what they used the laptop for whether it was homework, research or just even for MSN!
During the summer holidays year 10 DiDA students continued the trial.
Status:
Laptops will be available for students to borrow in the summer term.
MyWeb/ClassWeb
Description:
The group added more functions to the current Portal pages making them more personal, exciting and interesting as well as developing a line of communication between friends, classmates and teachers.
