Junior debating is the training ground for our competition debaters. Debaters meet weekly and have the opportunity to participate in two annual competitions. Years 7-9 are keen supporters of the form competition as well as the House competition. Senior debating teams participate in the House Debating Competition and frequently enter London and National competitions. These include the:

• English Speaking Union’s Schools Debating Competition;

• PriceWaterhouseCoopers Cambridge Union Schools Competition;

• Oxford Union Schools Competition

The House Debating Cup Competition is held annually and involves knockout rounds with the final debate being held in front of the whole school and before a guest adjudicator.
